UVa was founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson. It is located in Charlottesville, Virginia and is usually rated no. 1 or no. 2 as the best public university by U.S. News and World Report. There are over 13,000 undergraduate students enrolled at UVa and over 6000 graduate students. There are over 2000 faculty members.
